Thinking of a career in research?
Are you a bachelor's or master's student? Are you thinking of Ph.D.? Here, we give you some information on being a researcher. You may also look into our Research Blog page to read about some interesting fields of research.
How to start?
If you would like to start a career in research, the first step is joining for a Ph.D. It will help you become a researcher formally and have career growth. After Ph.D., you can go to different universities for post-doctoral research (postdoc). Both Ph.D. and postdoc positions are paid jobs. After a Master’s, even before entering into Ph.D., you can apply in various institutes (in India) for project assistant positions with stipend. Such positions help you get some experience in research.
In this webpage, we provide various types of resources useful for a research aspirant. We also give institutes/organizations for possible fellowships for Ph.D. We do not give admission details as they can change every year. Instead, you have to read such details on the respective institution’s webpage.
